Welcome. I am David from Alkozira. Well, not technically from there. More accurately, I just lived there for some years — not sure how many. Only a few weeks passed on earth, and I didn’t age much while there. I’m as human as you, but probably more sensible and, after living on Alkozira, definitely more sane than pretty much all of you.
I am the only human that has ever been kidnapped by beings from another planet. All the other stories are bogus. The aliens’ purpose in “borrowing me” (as they put it), was not to study my anatomy. Though they did end up doing that – just tickled a little. In the likely event that they modify or destroy us, they felt they should understand our biology.
Thus, I was borrowed to talk with their scientists – mainly some anthropologists that specialize in alien cultures. Being sensible beings they felt they should try to understand us, before presuming the right to extinguish us. Well some of them did. Most Alkozirans try not to think about us, ever. Even spending time with sensible unassuming me, is difficult for them. I feel it was very noble of them to bother. We scare the hell out of them.
They scanned billions of human minds. Mine was the sanest and most sensible. Though they didn’t quite scan everyone, I feel pretty confident in stating that I am probably the most sensible human on earth. (Yup, I am Sensible Dave, from the Porch Dialogues). That’s why they could stand hanging out with me, for short periods.
They asked me lots of questions. Boy did they have some goofy notions about us human earthlings. Mostly, after all the questions, they just left me alone. I didn’t want to leave, and being the decent entities they are, they wouldn’t make me. They could certainly understand not wanting to go back to earth.
I wasn’t homesick. Being bathed in sanity is like being in heaven – or so I suspect. They say, once you’ve been to heaven, you don’t want to leave. That’s how it was for me. It felt like heaven. Of course, being sensible and sane, I eventually realized I had to come back to earth. So here I am.
The purpose of this site, or blog if you must, is to share what I learned from them. I have complete permission to tell all I learned during my years with them. They wouldn’t mind if you listened and learned, but they don’t really care. We’re not likely to be friends with them anytime soon. I think I can guarantee that they’ll never let us get the technology to detect them. Nor will they ever contact us, or let us out of the solar system — unless we change quite a bit.
The Alkozirans are sure that no one will believe me, but I have hope.
